Net metering

The balance of generated-consumed power is known by the term net-metering. Net-metering allows the consumer to cover a significant part of energy self consumption, while giving the oportunity to use the grid for indirect energy storage.

More specific at each actual billing:

• On the contrary, if the generated energy is less than the consumed, there is a charge for the difference of this energy, according to the pricing policy of the energy provider.
• If the energy produced by the PV system is greater than the consumed, the excess energy is credited to the next liquidation. Final liquidation -beyond which the excess energy is lost- takes place every three years after the first connection of the pv to the grid.
